French Periodical Drops
FOR FEMALES
This valuable medicine is now offered to the Ameri
can Ladies as the only sure, positive, and never-failing
cure and regulator of suppression of nature, from
whatever cause. Particular care should be used to
know that Pregnancy is not the cause, as the Drops
would surely produce an effect entirely contrary to the
course of nature, for which I will not bold myself re
sponsible. These Drops are so mild and pleasant. that
the feeblest can take them with perfect seeur ity, yet so
powerful in their effects, lhat they may be safely milled
a never failing Regulator. They can be procured by
addressing me as directed below. I have used this med
icine for the last twelve years in my practice, and there
fore well know its merits. Sold by all Druggists.

"Tim Aos" will advocate the principles and policy of
the Democratic party, and will, therefore, necessarily
furor the restoration or the Union as it was, and defend
the Constitution of the 'United States, and that of this
Commonwealth.
It urn freely and flirty diecuss all legitimate subjects
of newspaper comment, including of course, and pre
eminently at this time, all questions connected with
the exist leg unhappy condition of our country.,
It will fearlessly criticise the public acts of public
Servants and defend the legal pod constitutional right
01 individual citisene and of sovereign states, against
assaults fromany quarter.
It will seek to awaken the allude of the people to a
proper sense of the actual condition of the Republic—
to present to them, truthfully, the fearful perils in
Which we stand as a nation—to exhibit the megultude
of the task, that Is before them, If they would eheek
our downward progress—and to inspire them with pa
triotic determination to apply THI MOOT, for our isa
tional Ills.
In brio:, It will in all things, aim to be the faithful
eamuient of Democratic principles, and to render itself
worthy to be au organ of the Democratic party, under
Whose auspices our country prospered so long and in
well. The restoration of that party—the party of the
Consvirtrriott and the Unarar—to power in the legisla
tive and execnticegovernmental branches of the Stales
and of the Union, we believe to be necessary to avert
*thirdly , and the utter ruin of the Republic. To con•

A FTER we bad closed our examination of Timach
etss last Fall, there were still upwards of thirty
Vacancies in dffiereet parts of the County, for which
there were no applicants, except
such as had already
been rejected as being Incompetent. This leas owning
to the met that many of our Teachers were in .the mili
tary service. Many more will quite likely be called by
the draft which Is soon to take place ' and consequently
It will be more difficult to supply the demand for Teach •
en this Fall than what It was last.
The Millarsville Normal Schad which has always
farniabed us so many teachers has been suspended, I
therefore pttpose td divitttbdi a NORMAL' CLASS, in
