son of Bernhard Rhnn, of North Lebanon !own

„ Williamsport. on a boat. On tbeir. un, Tues.
day, the 20th inst.. while passing,another
the two cams in collision and Charles was
- thro*n off. falling between the boats and was
'crushed to death. The deceased was 16 years, 7
,montbs, and 25 days old.

Snavely, of North Lebanon township, has placed
on exhibition at the ADVERTISER office a Time
thy stalk. measurin 5 feet 6 inches, which the
world is challenged to beat.
DROWNED.—A tittle son of Abraham
Bartley, of Jackson township, this county, - wits
drowned in a pond near Myerstostin, on ltin.fday
of last week. Esquire. Cooler held ab inqueet
on the dead body.,
ACCIDticT.—On gaturtday •• last Mr.
Oen. Fisher, of North Lebanon township, and si
member of the 48th regiment P. M., was badly
injured near the depot in this Borough, hYjtlmP
ing from the ears while they were in motion.
On the evening of the same day, Mr. J. Aaron
Walter, of this Poreuvh, and also a member of
the 48th regiment, fell trom the ears, breaking
his arm at the wrist. .
That most delightful of all places
in this section of Country—the Cart SlirtiNGS—is
still under the Proprietorship of Mr. Adorn linak,
who is now ready to receive visitors, and accoin
rnodate them to their hearts content. We learn
that a large number of families and individual
persons are at present sojourning there, and that
there is still room for more. •The Cold Springs
cannot be heat as a delightful summer retreat.
The following is tt list of theirilled,
wounded and tnissing of Capt. Passler's Compa
ny, 149th Reg.T. V., in the late battles at Get
tysburg. They took 56 mon in the Whin and

learn that many of our families are destitnte of
