anniversary of the Birth day of Washington, was
duly observed in this place. In the morning a
laige number of Flags were raised, slime of
whlob were saluted with the One music of the
UnionCornot Band, under the leadership of
their- ilk instructor, Mr. Richey. The Fare-
Mdress of Washington was read la Zion's
Lutheran Church. The North Lebanon Baud
paraded through our streets and favored as with
some of their choice National and other eatisie,
The frequent booming of oanuou was also heard
daring the day. In the evening a Torch light

place. Both the procession and illumination
were well gotten up considering the short-notion
