OURIOUS CASE IN THE COURTS OF VALPARAISO A curious- Case has arisen in the courts at Santiago. The secretary of the Russian Legation had occa sion-to go into one of the courts, cor responding, say to Common Pleas.— He carried a cane, and on entering . placed It beside the door, in the cor rfer.• Now it appears that it it not allowed to carry even a cane into a court room. So, soon after the sec retary took, his seat the judge called the doorkeeper to cast that, cane out the door. It was done. Shortly af terwards the secretary crossed one . leg over the other._ This too, is not allowable. The judge called the door keeper to 'straighten out . the man's legs:- The deorkeeper appears to have misunderstood the order. At all events he came with a pair of fet ters, which he was going- to• put en the innocently offending secretary, who thereupon rose and witlidrew. Accusation has now been made before the Supreme Courtagainet the Judge„ and at the present moment tFre ease is Under examination. The Attorney General asks the court to remove the judge from office, and also to put him iii prison. The secretary is noted-for bis eccentricity of dress. However„ it is said his behavior-was not meant to be rude-or discourteous. • CURIOUS COURSE o .sk BULLET.— ()fie of the Fire Zouaves was shot in the battle of 'Bull Run in a manner very surprising to.himself and, every person ,who has beard the story.— While fighting away like a tiger with. his Mouth-open- on aceount 'of excess ive heat andthirst, a musket bullet from.the enemy entered his mouth, then passed up at the back of his up per jaw and out of his face just be hind his leftr eye. Ha then asked .his comrade to examine his . face, who discovered what had `occurred.
