The remains of JoKOph F. Pie, son
of ex Sheriff, J. J. Pie, of Osceola, who died In
Philadelphia, an the 17th Init., were brought to

can aid tbe labors of the Enumerator of tbe Cen
sus, by making a list of all persons whose "usual
place of abode" Is la their bout oa the first day
Of June, that being tbe day fixed by law for tbe
enumeration. Persons dying after that day are

not counted.

Harry F. Blglar, Bov. Wm. II. Dill, Mr. Belle,
Mrs. Israel Test, Mrs. Waller Barrett, nod Mrs.
James Cooper, was appointed to eanvaat for
money. The meeting adjourned

a meeting to hear the report and result of the
effort of tbe Committee. Through tht Chairman,
tbey announced tbey bad received $190, Includ
ing the collection taken up at tbe M. E. Cburoh.
The amount will bo forwarded te Milton, for gen
aral relisf, and will not be confined to any sect
or class. It was deemed advisable at first to
divide the amount raised between Coudersport
and Milton t hut It it reported the latter place
does not need wsiiitance. and that there Is no
