The Bellefontb Fatality. George
Wat son aad Albert Rankin, tbe two men wbo!
were poisoned at U a man's Hotel, la Bellefonte,
en Friday morning, were respectively aged about
14 sad 41 year. Inrrstigatloo proved that tbey
were intoxicated oa Thursday, and lodged at the
above hotel over Bight. On arising ia tbe
morning they drank from a bottle that contained
carbolie acid, which bad been need a a bed-bug
poison. On of the uo fortunate aiea made his
way to tbo wash-room, where the effect of the
fatal drug stupefied bim. He waa carried to tbe
stable by the hostler under direction of tbe pro
prietor, wbo supposed b was beastly intoxicated.
The hostler left him tber and returned abortly
afterward, when he discovered that the man waa
dying. Th other victim was found writhing ia
pain by several boarder wbea tbey arose ia lb
morning, and be died lo a short time. Aa In

tion, the Jury deeldsd that death was produced by
