Cooking Corn. Tounok dried nweet
corn well, pour warm water ovor It and let 11 stand
ten or twelve hours. A few minutes before your
meal Is ready, put tbe corn on to cook In a kettle
In tbe same water in whlob you soaked it. Hare
as little water as possible, arid don't allow it to
stay on tbe store more than two minutes after it
begins to boil, Theo add salt, butter, cream,
peppv, and a sprinkle of flour. Let It merely
heat (brougb, and It is done enough. Tbe old
way of cooking dried corn Is villainous, for tbe
longer It bolls the harder It gets. The ten hours
soaking so f tent It and extracts tbe juice, and
makes a palatable dish.
