Clearfield, and it is hereby ordained by authority
ot the same:
let. That any perton permitting any lumber,
wood, ooal, wagons or other articles or property
of any kind or nature, to stand, lay or remain on
the streets, either imide or outside of the pave-
mentj, shall forfeit the same to the horoogh. The
Htroet Cummiuioner is authorised and required
to seise any lumber, wood, ooal, wagons or other
articles or property of any kind or nature so lying
or being on the street, and expose the una to
publie salca, giving at least twenty-four hours
notice by nut less thnn fire written or printed
band bills, posted in the most public plaoee in said
borough, and pay the proeoeds thereof into the
Borough Treiuiury after deducting therefrom the
expenses attending said soimrcand sale. Hhould
tht proceeds arising from said sale not be sufficient
to pay the expenses of the proceeding, then the
owner of the lot in front ot which said before
mentioned articlea wero foond shall pay the re
maining cost, and In addition thereto the sum of
five dollars, to he collected as provided for by law.

til twenty-four hours' notice shall have been given
