Jameh Savaue. Tho name of this
gentleman has lately been used very flippantly
by some persons in conucotion with the Judical
or ludfpondent candidacy for Sheriff. 6cveral of
tho personal and political friends of Mr. Save;)
have ontborUed ns to contradict this slander, and
they assure us that he has no idea of committing
political suicide, and has authorised no one to use
his name for any such purpose,
It would iccm therefore that Mr. Savage's ro7
friend are not those who are trying to get the
Radicals to adopt him as their candidate for
Sheriff, aud that It Is not likely that ho will
gratify them by offering himself to his lifelong
political enemies for a sacrifice. That Is the kind
of man we take Mr. Saroge to bo, and If he takes
our advice he will tell the Mvdocs to mind their
own business and pnrsuo the even tenor of his
way, and ahew to friend and foo that he la a
