deer, save ouly from tho first day of
Bcplsaibor to the first day of January,
in any year. The purauilol duerwith
dogs it forbidden at all timet. Trap
ping of deer, except for family ue, in
also forbidden.. The penally for the
violation of the nbovo law it a tine of
$50. .Any coottablo or town official
may kill any dog thut habitually pur
suet deer, and the owner thereof is
liubla to a pcnulty of $10 for each deer
or fawn killed by tuch dog.
Gray, Black and Fox Squirrels mny
bo killed only from the first day of July

year. The penalty for violation of

Babbits may be killed from the first
day of October until the first day of
.February, in any year. 1 he penalty
for killiug out of season is $3, lor each
rabbit so killed. - Hunting . rabbits

alty of $10 for eacb rabbet so caught
or killed.
Wild Turkeys may be killed from
tho Arts day of October until the fint
day of January of each your. The
penally for killing out of season is $25
for eacb Turkey so killed.
Snipe may be killed from tbs first
duy of September until tbe twentieth
day of April, of each year. Tho pen
ally for killing out of season is $10 for
eacb snipe so killed.
Woodcock may bo killed from' tbe
firhl day ol August until tbe first day
of January of any year. Penalty of
fiuiur eucn woodcock killed out ot
suasoa.
Field Plover may be killed from the
first duy of August until the first day
of January. Penalty of $10 for each
i'lover killoa out ot season.
No person ahull kill, or expose for
sale, or nave in his or bor possession
after tho same bas bocn killed, anv
Quart or Virginia .Partridge, except
only from tho first day of November
until the 6rat day of January of any
year. Tbe penalty for killing out of

killed.
,No pcreon shall kill or trap or hare
in their poasosaion after the tame is
killed, any Kobin, Xighihawk, Spar
row, Lark, Swallow, Cat-bird, Blue
bird, or any other insectivorous bird,
at any time, under a ponulty of $5 for
each bird so killed.
H person shall rob or destroy the
nest or eggs of any wild bird, except
ing such birds as are destructive of
gaino and tnsectiverous birds, undor a
penalty of $10 for eacb oflonco. -
No person shall, at any timcor rla-e

offence.
In any waters of this State inhabi
ted by trout or bass, it shall not be
lawful to catch fish with any net the
tnesbct of which shall not be over
three inches, under a penally of $25.
Sulmon or speckled trout may be
caught from tho first dar of April
until the fifteenth day of August of
eaco year, re tinny tor taking out of
season, $10 for each fish.
' Any person tresspassing on any
preserve, or fish pond is liable to a
penalty of $100 to the owner, in ad
dition to damages.
Bast and Pike may bo caught from
tho first day of June until the firsldny
March, with a hook and line. The
penalty for taking out of season, or in
any olhor manner than by book and
line, is $25 for each offence.
No person shall catch any trout,
Lass or other fiih in any of tho wators
of this Stnto, by shutting or drawing
off any portion of said waters, nr by
drawing tmull nets or seins therein,
when tho water shall be partly or
wholly drawn off, undor a penally of
$25 for each offence. .
In all cases whero the shooting of
gamo or catching of fish is prohibited
tn any county or countios, for a fixed
term tf years, by spcciul act, nothing
io tho abovo act shull bo construed to
ajtor or invalidate such special acts.

and Burgesses of the cilioi and towns
of thit Commonwealth, to require
their polico and constabulary force,
and it is horcby made their duty, and
also the duty of tho clerks of murkots
of laid towns and cilios, to search out

lit provisions of this act Any pcr
kuii having a knowledge of tho viola
tion of any of these provisions may

one-half of tho ponalty shall go to the
