married again, but her life was made

on an execution against her husband,

would live no longor with him but
wont to work in her old way and soon
bad several thousand dollars invested
in real estate' Uor eon was tenderly
attached to her, and whon ono day
not long ago a man insulted her he
knocked him down, and an action for
assault was brought against him.
She was told that it was very uncer
tain when the trial would come on.
and so went every day to the court
house, whore she sat knitting and
waiting, while hor son was away at
work. On tbo very day when the
case was called she was takon ill and
was unable to attend at court. Hor
attorney knew nothing of her illness,
her son was away, expecting to be
notified w hen wanted, and tho plain
tiff carriod bis caso. The poor old
lady is again plunged into trouble and
has got to that stage of life wbore all
she wants is to got bcr son and take
bim away with bcr to her old home
in Scotland. ,
