Stem, of Barrio town hip, suffered ft severe casualty from being bitten by a horse belonging to him.. It seems, while at the blacksmith shop, tho horse becomiug ferocious and unmanageable, seised Mr. Stem by the forearm, hurling him to tho ground, ond leap ing upon him. lie would undoubtedly have been killed bad not tho bystanders driven off the horse by severe blows.
