A Plf.aant Dkckptiov. Two
weeks ago Rev. Mr. Iiittler, who has so ably filled

he was waited upon by several members of his

when opened, proved to be $100 in greenbacks, (a
very necessary commodity when starting on a
journey of any kind,) which wa naturally enjoyed
by both donors and recipient.
A (VI df.nt. Clmrles Smith, a fire

in the woods, Fmith placed the pistol in his pock

and when he sat down on the tram road, a short
time after, it was discharged, the ball passing
nearly through the leg. Dr. Hoop was summoned

Mr. Thomas Tnxior, of St. Marys, while crossing
tho "barrens" between Bt. Marys and Caledonia,
one day lart week, was confronted by two high

threat of instantly putting an end to his existence
if it was not forthcoming. On hts as tiring them
that ho did nut carry any of the "filthy lucre"
about his person, they released him, and he went
on his Journey unmolested, while the would be
