The Kidneys aie two In number sltuaM at the
upper part of tho loin, surrounded hy fat, and
consisting of threo parts, via: the Auterlor, ths
Interior, and tbo Ulterior,
The anterior absorbs. Interior onsists t-f tli
una or reins, which terra as a deposit for Ibe
urine and convey It to ths ettcrlor. The eitrrlor
Is a oo nd ue tor also, terminating In a single tube,
and called tho Ureter. The ureters are connected
with the bladder.
Tha bladder Is composed of various coverings
or tissues, divided Into parts, vis: tho Upper, tho
Lower, tha Nervous, and tho Mucous. Tho upper
oipets, the lower retains. Many hara a desire to
urinate without tho ability; others urinate with
out tbo ability to retain. This frequently ocsurs
in children.
To cure these affections, we must bring Into
action the muscles, which are engaged In their
various functions. If they arc neglected, 0 ravel
or Irojisy may ensue.
The reader must alto be made aware, that how
over slight may he tha attack, It Is sure to affect
the bodily health aud mental powers, as our flesh
and blood are supported from these sources.
GOUT, OU RHEUMATISM.
Pain occurring In tho loins Is indicative of the
above diseases, they occur to pcrsoos disposed
to acid stomach and c bulky concretions.
THE GRAVEL.
The gravel ensues from neglect or improper
treatment f the kidneys. These organs being
weak, the water is not expelled from the bladder,
but allowed to remain; it becomes feverish, and
sediment forms. It Is from this deposit that the
stone is formed, and gravel ensues.
DROPSY.
Propsy is a collection of water In some parts of
tho body, and heirs different names, according to
the parts aTeotod, vii: when generally diffused
over the body, It la oalled Anasarca, when of the
abdomen, Ascites ; when of the chest, Hydro! borax.
TREATMENT.
Ilelmbold's highly concentrated, compound Ex
tract Rurhu Is decidedly one of the best remedies
for diseases of tbe bladder, kidneys, gravel, drop
sical swellings, rheumatirra, and gouty affections.
Under this bead we bsv arranged Dysuria, or
difficulty and pain in passing water. Scanty Secre
tion, or small and frequent discbarges of water;
Ftrangary, or itoppiag of water) Hematuria, or
bloody urine; Gout and Rheumatirm of tho kid
neys, without any change in quantity, but increase
in solor, or dark water. It was always highly
recommended by tha lata Ir. Physiek, tn these
affections. ,
This medicine increases tha power of digestion,
and excites tbo absorbents into healthy exercise
by which the watery or enlrareous depositions,
and all unnatural enlargements, as well as pain
and inflamation, are reduced, and It ii taken by
men, women aod ehildreo. Pi root two for use
and diet accompany.

II. T. Helmbold, Pru'gisti
Pear Pin 1 have letn suffering, for upward
of twenty years, with gravel, bladder and kidney
affections, during which lima I have used various
medical preparations, and been under the treit
nmnt of the moit eminent phj sieians, expfrioncinR
hut little relief.
Having seen your preparations exU-nsivcly ad
rertised, I consulted with my family physician in
regard to uing your Kxtroct Ruihd.
1 did this because I had used all kinds of adver
tised remedies, and had tuund them worthless, and
some quite injurious; in fact, I despaired of ever
getting well, and determined to ne no remedies
hereafter unless t knew of the Ingredients. It
was this that prompted mo to use your iftneily.
As you advertistd that it was composed ofbuohu,
euhohs, and Juniper Lurries, it occurred to me and
my physician as an excellent combination, and,
with his advice, a ft or an examination of the arti
cle, and consulting again with the druggist, I eon
eluded to try it. I commence, its use aliout eight
months ago, at which time I was confined lo my
room. From the first bottle I was astonished and
gratified at the beneficial fleet, and after using il
three weeks, was able to walk out. I felt mu h
like writing you a full statement of my case at the
time, but thought my improvement might only he
temporary, and therefore enneluded to defer and
see if it would effect a perfect cure, knowing then
It would bo of greater value to you, and more
satisfactory to Die.
I am now able to report that cure Is rffVctcd
fter using the remedy for flra months.
I fan re not used ai.y now for throe months, and
feel as well In all respects as I ever did.
Your Duehu being dernid of any onpbasant
latto aud odor, a nice tonic and invigoratorcf the
system, I do not mean to be wilbotit it whenever
oooasioa suay rrqntre Its use In snoh affertlnna.
