possession a rather remarkuble speci
men of hen fruit, which the rurious
in such matters can see by calling ut

thing "spiles" on our hands. It is an
ogg containing several grains of oats,
some of which aro sending forth
sprouts. Tho egg -was broken by a
lady in Johnstown, who designed to
use it for the purpose of clenring her ,r wulerfull, leaving it in
eotTee, when the oats was discovered . the window, und when she
immediately under the shell, and returned she found a little
deeming the circumstance a very
unusual ono, she kindly sent the egg
to us for inspection and notict. Can
any of our reader explain this curious
freak of nature :
