Tits Fair um'e murk. During th"
conrsiS of our peregrinations through
tho county tho pasl few weeks,
we find there is a stronger determin
ation among most of the farmers to
attend tho coming Fair, (which com
mences on Tuesday next,) than has
been on any former occasion j and
they intend to bring with them, not
only tho families, but stock and arti
cles to cotnncte for the very liberal
1 -premiums
that are offered. It is to
their own individual interests to get
up a fine show of good stock, for very
likely Mr. A. has an article or an ani
mul that Mr. II. wants to buy, and
certainly there is no better time nor
plaoo to let it bo known, than al tho

E. O. I'errin, Esq., of Sew York, who

After tlio coiiclunion of Mr. I'errin'a

told them of the "oiit-lcok" through

triumph in October. He enforced the
importance, at this crisis, of tin Do

unbroken front against tho foe, and
urged old Clearfield, now thut victory

Tns T11111TV seven Gems The
crandosl feature in the Democratic
procession last week, wns the thirty
seven little ladies in ono wagon, repro
sonting tho thirty seven States of this
Vnion. They were all arrayed in
white, with alternate scarfs of "led.
white and blue," upon each of which
was tho name of a Slato. In theeen
tro of Ihe wagon wasawreathed arch,
seven feel high, underneath or w hich
were the words "The Const il ul ion,
S.ytnoiir,Bliiiraiid the Vnion," and un
der it stood two ladies representing
tho (ioddess of Liberty and Justice
with her sword returned to its sheath.
Tho wreath was a magnificent affair,
embellished with evergreens and rich
flowers of all shades, tbo "red, white
and blue" predominating, of course.
The wreath was projected by Mrs
Brown and Mrs. Bradley, and is w ith
out doubt the finest spocimcn we ever
w itnessed. A close inspection reveals
the fact that all the flowers are made
out of feathers, richly colored, which,
when properly arranged, produce a
never fadinir boq.net. We know the.e
ladies havo Ibo undivided thanks of
tho Democracy for their skill and seal
manifested on tho occasion, which is
probably all tbo compensation they
will receive.
A Mistark Tho most prominent
transparency in the Radical fir.r.le last
wcvk was a largo coffee pot. This
should have been carried by some of
tho "coffee-colored" (rents or ladios
present in the jirocession,

Attention', Cops. Tho Democrat
of Bell, Bradford, Brady, Graham,
Knox, Lawrence and Morris should
bo especially vigilant ia seeing that
our voters in these heavy Peiuocratio
districts are at the polla. If there ara
those among you who are too poor to
pay their county tax, pay it for them,
and see that they gettheirvoto- What
wo hero say applies to all tbo other
districts in tbo county, but losses,
when they occur in those large and
populous districts, are less excusable
than in tho smaller ones.
Th Meetings. One of the grand
est features of boli meetings last
