good men. Mr. Tate, our nominee
for Prothonotary, is a farmer of Law
renco township, in the primo of life,
well qualified for tho office, and will
wako a prompt nnd efficient olticor.
ilr. I.eo, llio nomineo for Register A
P.eeorder, is a young farmer of Boc-
caria township, nnd peculiarly well
qualified, both by energy and educa-
tion, to make a first class oflleer ; and
we shall be very much mistaken if he
does not como up to what his friends
predict for him. Mr. Shn finer, the
nominee for Commissioner, is an old
Democratic veteran of Lawrence town
ship, known to nearly everybody in
tho county. Ho promises the tax
payers his best efforts, in that office,
to reduce the expenditures of the
county to the lowest standard possi
bio. Mr. McCloskey, the nominee for
Surveyor, resides in Curwensville, is
ai engineer of no mean pretention,
nnd is amply qualified for the respon
sible trust of Surveyor. He has nl
rcudy held the ofiiec for three years
to tho entire satisfaction of the public.
jMr. Bowles, lho nominee for Auditor,
is n farmer of Knox township, nnd
possesses every requisite; to make a
good officer. Tho financial affairs of
lho county will be closely scrutinized

been selected by tho Democracy for

borne in mind by tlio candidates, that
