Tub I'uNCfcKr. As announced in our
last, the '-Mountain Orchestra" in con-
nection with the "Philinsbur- Cornet I
Ijiind," gave a concert in the Court
llouoe, on Thursday evening last. In
Ihi. afternoon of that day tho troupe,
iibout twcnty.five in number, entered j
1 own, playing their favorite pieces, and
while pushing along the streets at
tracted much attention. A large au
dience of ladies and gentlemen were
in attendcnce in the evening. The
entertainment gave general satisfac
tion and was highly credible to tho
jierforniers, For the compliment
paid us at our borne, after the close of
the exhibition, we return our thanks.
The next morning the party left for
C'urwensvillo playing their melodious
strains as they left town. We hope
that tho demonstration of our Phil
ipsburg neighbors will infuse a little
musical energy into our citizens. If
it docs not; we will be compelled eith
er to go to Pliilipsburg to be tuned
up. or have them to come hero occa
sionally. .1 IsCtturr.
