Whereas, Morris township is equal
in farming intorosts to any other in
tbe county, and in mineral wealth far
superior, boing underlaid with three
distinct veins of bituminous coaI,rary
,lng in thickness from four to nine feet,
besides having a vast amount of pi no,
oak aid hemlock timber on the Mo
shannon and its tributaries, but being
without Kailroad, or any other means
of transportation to market, this vast
source of wealth lies comparatively
useless ; And whemx, wo have been
credibly informed that certain parties
in tho county are byword, and other
wise, opposing the location and con
struction of a proposed llailroud thr.'o
