Bsoki Jail. On Saturday night last,
.our prisoners confined in the jail of this
county, s'lccoedod in making thoir
capa. Their names were, Finley, charged
with sn attempt to commit rape ; Kelly,
charged with threatening to kill bis
wife; Amos Pine, charged with obtaining
pods by false pretences j and Hugh
Friel, under sentence for an attempt to
commit rape. Finley was confined in a
room by himself, and by tome means
worked a stone out of the wall, and thro'
the opening passed into the jail yard, and
communicated wi'.h the other three all
confined in one room. They then burn
sd the plank nflf wit h a fire shovel, dug
thro' the wall of their room, and, all bo
ng together in the jail yard, oon manag
ed to make an additional doorway in the
wall, through which they made their exit.
We ore getting to be a very moral peo
ple, as wo have now but one prisoner in
our jail, one having been discharged on,
Saturday, four discharging themselves the
wine night, and one discharged on Mon-
