land: Constitution ??. Ctiarter. The
fourth page has another piece of poetry
! copied from the Albany Argus entitled
"Jackson." The hero of New Orleans
had but lately died.
There is then a prosjiectus of the Aris
tidiean, a magazine of reviews, politics
' and light literature, published by Thos.
Dunn English. 132 Nassau street. New
York city. Also one of T. ?h Arthur's
magazine. These two articles cover
about three columns. There are also on
this page a few advertisements and a
column prospectus of the U. S. J imal
by J. E. Dow A Co.
On the second page we read: "Glori
ous news from Texas. Annexation ac
cepted by the Texan Congress. The
Mexican Treaty rejected." And again,
"Imilitant fr m Mexico. Probability
of a war with tlie Uuited States." Un
der the head of "Latest from Europe,*'
we find "a great Reptal deuionstrath n
had been made at Cork. O'Connell was
present.'*
