There is then a prosjiectus of the Aris tidiean, a magazine of reviews, politics ' and light literature, published by Thos. Dunn English. 132 Nassau street. New York city. Also one of T. ?h Arthur's magazine. These two articles cover about three columns. There are also on this page a few advertisements and a column prospectus of the U. S. J imal by J. E. Dow A Co. On the second page we read: "Glori ous news from Texas. Annexation ac cepted by the Texan Congress. The Mexican Treaty rejected." And again, "Imilitant fr m Mexico. Probability of a war with tlie Uuited States." Un der the head of "Latest from Europe,*' we find "a great Reptal deuionstrath n had been made at Cork.
