The first Congaessio ial district, which, two years since, returned Hall. plebraska democrat) by an alleged majority of 179, has now sent the same Mr. Hall to private life, and has chos en a sound and reliable Republican in his place, by at least a thousand ma jority—the latest telegraphic report makes it fifteen, hundred. The same district, in 1852, gave a majority of 727 for Pierce, The second district, which gave Pierce a plurality of 403 fuur years ago, has now given the Re publican party a majority of four or five thousand. The state Senate, last year Nebraska, has been redeemed, while the Republican majority in the House has been largely increased. That will do very well for a begin ning.
