Unanimuusly,_ that we have learned
with surprise and regret,that a proposi..
tiOn has been introduc,ed into the Con
gress of the United States, "to repeal
the compact of 4 sf4o, c,o,intrpilly known
as the.. Missouri Compromise." -Such
a measure, so pregnant .with evil and
faith is .calculated to arouse the fears
and Perhaps endanger the Union uf the
Ametican people 3 therefore. ,

of Pennsylvania any right.to control or
interfere with . the social! or domestic
Institutions or interests. of any other
