THE CASH SYSTEM ADOPTED
Qn and after the first of January, 1856, the
Pennsylvania Telegraph, published at Harris
burg, Pu., will be owned and conduc`•ed by
the undersigned., who will give their beat en
ergies to wake it worthy of its cause and of
is friends.
It will commence the new year printed an
entirely new type, and the Weekly greatly
enlarged in form, while the price will be
lower than that of any other pdper of its class
ever published at the Capital of ME State, and
I'AV , IENTS WILL BE REQUIRED
STRICTLY IN ADVANCE
No paper will be sent until it is paid for,
adtiall will lie discontinued as the subscrip
tions expire, unless they are renewed.
The Telegraph will be Issued SEMI—
WEEKLY , ou a sheet of twenty-four col
tunes, during the sessions of the Legislature,
and WEEKLY on a double sheet of forty.eight
colonies the reuminuer of the year. It will
present a comprehensive summary of the Leg
islative proceediugs ; all important general
laws as they are passed, auduent to Give the
current political intelligence of the times in
tltu lullest and most reliable manner. In
short, the Proprietors hope to make it a corm,
piece Fatuity and Political Journal, and they
coutideutly appeal tothepeople of Peunsylvm
qua to sustain their enterprise,
The Telegraph will advocate a libel-apolit
ical poiicy, and aim to unite till those who,
though animated by the same common pur
poses, and looking to the same beneficent re,
sults, seem distracted by the conflict of dis
tinctive organizations. It will sustain the
highest standard of- American Nationality ;
and, while yielding a sacred obedience to thu
compromises of the Constitution, will deter
minedly resist the extension of Human Slave
ry. It will give a cordial, earnest but inde
