If2ZSHL.ER'S` BITTE.I~S.
The following letter of Inquiry was lately
received, 'and nig similar'
, questions have'
frequently: been asked before, we will'
answer them through the press :
- HAIMISBURG, Feb. 10th, 1868.
Dr. - S. B. liarbnan• & Co.: • Gentsi—Mr:
Abraham Martin, of this county, paid me a visit
on the 10th of December last., I observed an ,
ulcer behind his ear, and his eyes also - were sorb.
On questioning him, he told me -that he -had
several on his leg, and small ones all over his
body, and even among the roots of his hair, with
shooting pains along the bones.
I advised hint to writezto , you, and see what
you would say of his case, knowing Dr. Hartman
to be a practising physician of the old school.
He followed my advice, and wrote to you all the.
facts.; which you answered by stating that his
disease was Scrofula, or some other constitution-'
al disease, and you advised him to take Allsider's
Green Label Bitters. He bought six bottles of
Dr. Eilmaker, a druggist in Lancaster, and com
menced with a tablespoonful every three hours,
and gradually increased the dose to a small wine
glass full, and then diminished gradually amin
to the same dose he - began with; he said these
were your directions. I saw him. this morning,
hale and hearty—perfectly cured-=even his eyes
are well—which I consider remarkable, as I have
known persons to-be afflicted with Inflamed'
eyes all through life. I never saw 'a man more
•dellghted; and having myself been cured of a
most terrible,
_lingering Dyspepsia, about a year.
ego, by your Bitters, I asked him ' he had any
the house. " 0 yes," said•he. -And going to
the cupboard, handed um a bottle half lull, and
saying, "this is ,what I have left from the six
bottles." I took a swallow, and it tasted , so un
like the Bitters that I had taken, that I was sure
it was not Misbler's Bitters; and he having
never taken any other, declared -that he bought
it for Illishier's -Bitters. Unable to decide the
question. I concluded to write to you, and asic if
you have more than one kind.
Yours, most respectfully,
CEIARLES FORREY
A R - S 'IVE
LANCASTER, Feb. 14th, ISM
Mr. Charles Forrey: Dear Sir:—Yours
of the 10th inst:, is at hand, and in reply, would
say, we make three kinds of Bitters. The one
you used for Dyspepsia is called -
AIISHLER'S HERB BITTERS,
generally sold few a dollar. or one dollar and
twenty-tive cents a bottle. It is always used for
Dyspepsia, Rheumatism, Kidney Affections and
diseases of the Lun,. - qs and Throat, .3:c.; and in
these it is a sure and permanent remedy. Dr.
Hartman, on referring to his books, finds that
we have cured, since - the 2gl of July 1867, the
time we became the proprietors of th?s institu ,
tlon, 213 cases of Dyspepsia; 78 of Chronic Rhea-,
niatism ;1.07 of lingering Coughs and Colds; 93 of
Kidney Affections; 17 of :Yellow Jaundice; 2.3 of
Neuralgia ; 93 of Headache and Sick Headache
19 of Lumbago or pain in the back; 10 of General
Debility; 27 of Chills and Fever, and 37 not well
defined. • .
There are, of course, thousands who have used
Mislder's Herb Bitters, that never. visited Dr.
Hartman, nor wrote to him, with doubtless the
same effect. , But the number .above given, are
carefully recorded in a book, with their address.
Those that have 'visited the Doctor are marked
V, and those that have written to him ..W. This
book is open to everybody, and all of them can
be written to, if desired.
MISI3I,ER'S
Green Label Bitters;
is the kind that has always been used for Scrof
ula, Old Running Sores and:Ulcers, and delicate
diseases, caused by imprudence, excess exposure
or early indiscretion ; also, for skin diseases of
every kind, and Inflammatory Itheturfatism,
These Bitters are now sold everywhere, at ono
dollar and fifty cents per bottle ; and although
never. Kerb"
advertised have at present nearly
as large a sale as the Bitters. They have
been sold in Philadelphia.. New lark, Baltimore
and some other.placcs at two, and three dollars
per bottle. They are the only, sure remedy for
the diseases Just named.
We could refer, the reader to over five hundred
cases of the most miraculous - cures produced
within the last six months, by the
GREEN LABEL BITTERS;
but most persons, suffering from, these com
plaints, will not allow their names to be pub
-lished, a thing we never, do except by_ special
'permission. , . -
MISIILER,'S
Red Label Bitters,
which is the third variety of our preparation,
-will surely cure all chronic complaints peculiar
to females. Ladles suffering 'from any irregu
larities, will and them a muatboon.. - „Every. lady.
that' is pale with palpitation of the heart, or a
fluttering sensation about that organ, with a
shortness of breath after- a 'Little exertion, will
find these Bitters a panacea: From -two to four
bottles will entirely cure all such "cases. In
short, every other lady, young or old, the -world
over, should use this medicine. And we predict,
that in less than one year, or at least as soon as
the fair sex thoroughly 'understand its merits,
no more pale, emaciated and disconsolate faces
will be seen ; but all women will at least look
fresh and hearty, if- not beautiful and fair as
queens; and when asked, how carne the change,
all will answer, through MISEILER'S
'RED 'LABEL BITTERS
,
They are sold everywliere, at one dollar and fifty
cents per bottle. ~ -
-Hoping you, as well, as the rest ofrmankii - 1/1,
are not disappointed in the fact, that, the large
array of certificates of cures effected by Mishler's
Bitters, of every conceivable disease, which we
and Mr. Mishier have pubLislied heretofore, , was
the work. of three distinct preparations, and not
one only,
We are; respeCtfully yours, -c.,
