A stranger arrived in town on Saturday last and registered his name at the Frank lin House as Henry Hamilton, Harrisburg, Pa. On Sunday he was seen in the vicini ty of Second and Locust Streets talking to the children in the neighborhood, but no notice was taken of it. On Monday morn ing he succeeded iii gettingone of Mr. Hi ram Wilson's children,and also one of Mr. Hixson's ( mere infants) to follo.v him by giving them eandy, &c. The children were soon missed by their parents and a gener al *march commenced, which for a time raised quite an excitement. They were at length found with the person alluded to above, near the outskirts of town, who, up on seeing a crowd of people, made his es eime.
