Wuo Let That Whiskey Run ?
On Saturday night last some evil min
ded individual, not having the fear of
the police force before his eyes, entered
the cellar of Mr. Philip Pritsch, at the
Farmers and Drovers Hotel, on South
Hanover street, and opened the spigot
of a barrel of whiskey. It is supposed
that the parties helped themselves and
became too drunk to stop the flow of
the liquor. But little of it was saved.
This proceeding may perhaps be ac
counted for by the scarcity of water in
that end of the town for the last few
days. The company having failed to
supply that section on account of burst
cd pipes.
INCOMPARULE.-G'racc’fi Celebrated Salvo

scalds, sprains, and cutaneous diseases
and eruptions generally. In places dis

valuable, and in tho nursery it should al
ways be at hand.
Do Boto when he visited the shores
of America, sought long and arduously
for the “ Bpring of perpetual youth,” that
those who bathed therein might never
grow old in appearance. People ol our
day have in pari discovered a substitute
for this unfouud spring in King's Vege
table Ambrosia, -a few applications of
which gives to white or gray hair that
dark, strong and glossy appearance pecu
liar to yontniui beauty. If any of our
readers doubt this, let them try a bottle
aud be convinced of the truth of our as
sertion. March lii, 4t.
“ The Sweetest Thing in Life” Is
good health and good spirits, and if you
have them not, tho next best thing is
what will restore bloom to tho faded
cheek and happiness to the drooping
heart. The great and sure remedy is
Plantation Bitters, which our physicians
recommend to both male and female pa
tients ns a safe, reliable, agreeable and
cordial stimulant. They contain noth
ing to disagree with the most delicate
constitution, and have won golden opin
ions from all who have tried them ; and
probably no article was ever tried by so
many persons. They elevate the depress
ed and give strength lo the weak.

CORSET.
The STAR CORSET, which Is fast becoming
the standard corset of America, is manufactured
without scams passing through the goods, which
remedies the great difficulty of hand made Cor
sets—ripping; also, as the material is thoroughly
shrunk before being made up, causes them to re
tain their symmetry much better than the Ger
man, Woven, or French Corset, and as for fit,
comfort and ease, far excels.
