Whereas Ihe debt of the Borough of Carlisle has
reached so nearly up to the Constitutional limit,
llmi ihe extension and opening of Streets and the
making of other necessary improvements is
thereby prevented.
Therefore, bo it enacted and ordained by tho
Town Council of the Borough of Carlisle, and it is
hereby enacted mid ordained by the authority of
t lie same.
Ist. That a Sinking Fund bo established for tho
purpose of reducing tho Borough debt,
2d. That all dividends hereafter received from,
the stock of the Carlisle Gas and Water Compa
ny owned by the Borough, bo applied to Raid
Sinking Fund hi reducing the principal of tho
Borougu debt.
kd. That the Finance Committee of tho Town
Council shall have charge of the Sinking Fund'
