Tho great Democratic Party, whose history in

To the principles of this great Democratic Party

Mr. H. T. Uklmuold:
Dear Sir.—ln regard to the question
asked mo us to my opinion about Bttchu 3
I would say thatlhavo used and sold tho
article in various forms for the past thirty
years. Ido not think there is any form Off
preparation of it I have not used or known
to bo used, in the various diseases whero
such medicate agent would be indicated*
You are aware, as well as myself, that it h&a
been extensively employed in tho various
diseases of the bladder and kidneys, and th
reputation it has acquired in my judgment*
is warranted by the facts.
I have seen and used, as before stated.
every lone of Ihichu—tha powdered leaves,
Iho simple decoction, tincture, fluid ex.
tracts, —mul I mu not cognizant of any prep
aration ol that plant at all equal to yours-
Twc-lvo years’ cxiicrioncc ought, I think, to
give me the right to judge of its inerita, and
without prejudice or partiality, I givoyonia
precedence overall otheis. Ido not valno
a tiling according to its bulk, ill did other.
Buchus would-out-do yours, but X hold to
tho doctrine that bulk and quantity do not
make up value—if they did a copper cent
w-ouid bo worth luoro than a gold dollar*
I value your Buciiu for its effect on pa-
tionts. I have cured with it, and soon cur
ed with it, more diseases of tiro bladder and
kidneys than 1 have over soon cured with
any other Buchu, or any other proprietory
compound of whatever natno.
