THE terms of our Journals tor tho ensuing

These journals arc edited by Chaa G. Greene
and Richard Frothingham, jr.; employ a largo
corps of assistant editors, reporters and corres
pondents; and neither labor nor expense is
spared to make their columns valuable. They
, have been published nearly thirty yours; have a
range of subscription exceeded in extent and
aggregate by no paper in New England; and,
so largely is their circulation increasing, thai a
new press has been ordered to enable tire de
mand to he promptly supplied.
The reading matter consists of a great variety
of useful and entertaining matter. Its edito
rials; domestic and foreign correspondence; re
ports of lectures ; marine department; daily
monetary article and weekly financial review;
literary notices; poetic contributions ami hum
orous matter make variety designed to meet
every taste.
The advertising columns embrace nn almost
entire synopsis ot the business of New England;
and from that department of the paper alone
can bo obtained a correct impression of tho
character of trade, its facilities and its opera
tions; while (lie financial editorials give nn nc
cniato view of passing events in the commercial
world.
The Press and Post is made from tho Daily’s
contents, and published every Monday and
Thursday morning. Itisclearly and handsome
ly printed on fine piper, in clear typo, and the
subscription Is four dollars a year.
The Boston Statesman & Weekly Post forms
a racy and complete record of the times, and
contains the news of every description ; in fact,
a brief anil comprehensive history of passing
events; foreign nows in detail, domestic infor
mation, agricultural items, commercial and mo
netary articles, statements of trade, ol the wea
ther, of crops, fee.; accounts of meetings, polit
ical records, news ol every description, poetry,
pleasant reading matter, humoious items, epi
grams; in fact, a complete Uunily Newspaper—a
vehicle for over) species of useful and enter
taining information—among which will be found
in each issue, a pleasing story. The Statesman
is printed mi the largest sized paper and on new
ami beautiful type. It has a very large circula
tion and its rapidly increasing list is the best
evidence ol its popularity. It is supplied at tho
rate of two dollars a year for single subscrip
tions. Clubs, taking ten or more copies in one
package, will bo supplied at one dollar and a
half a year.
The Commercial Department of those journals
involves a largo expenditure; contains varied
tutd accurate reports as to all branches of trade;
and is second to that of no paper published in
New England.
These journals are carefully conducted and
edited in a faith in democratic principles, but
in a spirit of conciliation to all parties. As ad
vertising mediums they arc unsurpassed; pene
trating, as they do, Into such a variety of house
holds scattered over tho whole Union, and rend
as they are by all classes of tho community,
they furnish an opportunity for the diffusion of
informationwhich can scarcely bo obtained else
