THE N. Y', Tribune, of the, 9th, states that
Dr. Joel Shew, an honest,man and earnest
tclormcv, widely known os a pioneer of 'the
Water euro Into the United States, died last
Saturday, In his 40th- year; and after giving d
biographical sketch, status that ho “died in tho
fullest confidence in tho system he had so ably
and carnostlyadvocatcd.” " Wo knew Dr. Show
prior to his going to Germany,' in Ml and *42,
and wo believe he was honest in his convictions;
but, like many other honest men,he died a vic
tim to his delusion. Gold water is not adapted
to all m’anllijfltations of disease, nor every varie
ty of 'temperament and constitution; In tho
