BY Vlrloe'of on order of-the Orphans’ Court of
.Cumberland county,-the undersigned will expose
to public sale, on the premises, on Saturday the 12th
day of March, 1853, at'2 o’clock p. M., the fol
lowing properties, to wit: .
All that desirable Town Lot, commonly known
as the ••Poplar Lot, 1 * sltuate.at the south weatend
of Hanover street, in the borough of Carlisle,"con
taining about Three Acres, bounded by said street,
the Walnut Bottom road, a lot of P. Phillips’
•heirs, and by South street.
Also, a Lot of Ground , containing about Three
Acres, situato in said borough, bounded on the
north by.ihe GravoYard.on the east by tho Grave
Yard Lane, south by a lot of Samuel Hepburn,
and on the weal by a lot of J. W. Eby.
•Both these properlies will be offered in Town
lots, or as they now are, to suit purchasers. The
last named lotisaneligible location for a cemetery.
Terms of sale t Ten per cent, of the purchase
money on the day of sale, one-fourth of the pur
chase money to bo paid on the confirmation of tho
Bale, and the balance to be setuted by bonds and
mortgagee, conditioned for the payment of the in
terest thereof semi-annually to Mrs. Elizabeth
Dwen, and the principal at her decease, to her

Made by the Commissioners in compliance with the requisitions contained in the
22d and 23d sections of the Act of Assembly of this Commonwealth, passed on
the 15th day of April, A. D. 1834. And also in conformity with the 37th sec
tion of the same act, which requires the County Treasurer, once in every year,
to slate his accouqt and produce his vouchers to the Commissioners, Which after
examination by said Commissioners shall be by them laid before the County Au
