Commonwealth,” passed the. 2d'day of July, A.
D. 1839, It is made the dutyof the Sheriff of every
county within this Commonwealth, to give public
noiice of the General Elections, and in each-notice

to be held.
I, David High Sheriff of the county of
Cumberland, do hereby make known and give this
lublio notice to tho electors of the county of .Gum
jerland, that on Tuesday the 2d day of November
next, an election will be held at the several elec
tion districts established by law in said county,at
which time they will vote by ballot for the several
officers hereinafter named, viz:
