IN conformity with tho Militia Law of Pennsylva
nia, passed tho I7lh.day of April, 1849, tq revise
the militia law and provide for tho training of such
only oa shall bo uniformed, therefore the several bat
talions in tho bounds of the Ist Brigade, 16th Divi
sion, will meet for review and inspection, as follows;
The Ist Battalion commanded by Major Jacob
Bowman, will meet at 10 o’clock A; M. on Satur
day tho 17th day of May, in Mcchanicsburg.
Tho 2d Battalion commanded by Capt. D. Wher
ry, will meet at 10 cc’lock A. on Thursday the
.22(1 day of May, at such place as tho commanding
oflicor may designate. .
The 3d Battalion commanded by Major John F,
Hunter, will meet at 10 o’clock A, M. in Carlisle; on
Tuesday tho 13th day of May. .
The Ist Regiment of Oumboilond County Volun
