• A report on the biest method 'of im
proving, the breed of sheep 'in this
county, was presented by Major Win.
Moore, Chairman, and received. , A
number of interesting and instructive
remarks were Made on this 'subject by
Messrs. Jas. Hamilton,, Esq., Bro,Nyn,
Owen, Ilays llanditon, and others,
when, on motion, the Committee'were
continued to report further on the
bubjeq. ' "
The ComMitiee on the best Und,most
economical fence for the Huntingdon
County- farmers, not being prepared
w•ith'a Written report, a verbal report
was given which was, odmotion, ac
cepted and the Committee discharged.
The Committee on premiums not
being present were, on motion, eon
tinded.
The following Resolutions were of
fered and unanimously adopted :
;Resolved, That in view of the pros
ent:nnsettled condition of our Nation
al affairs, affecting as it doeS, to a
greater or less extent, all local inter
ests, we deem it inexpedient to hold
an Agricultural Fair during the pres
ent yeau•.
Resolved, That the funds now in the
hands of the Treasurer, after the pay
ment of all expenses, be placed on in
terest for the use of the Association.
On motion, adjourned to meet on
Tuesday evening of the first week of
the coming January Court.
At a meeting of the_ Executive Com
mittee, held on the' tilth hist., Israel
Grafilus, Esq., Gen. S. Miles Green and
A. M. Oaks, were appointed as dele
gates to visit the Farmers ugh School
in September next, and Livingston
Robb, Jno. C. Watson, Esq.. and John
Jackson, of Jackson township, were
appointed as their alternates.
