and Mechanical Association October Bth, 1888.
OHIO AND BUCKEYE PATENTS
At the great trial of Reapers and Mowers at Auburn
N. Y., in July last by the New York State Agricultural
Society, this Machine vas awarded the preference over
all °therein Class No b. This class was the most im
portant of any as it embraced Mowing and Hand or Sell-
Raking Reaper in the same Machine:
This Machine has been awarded Medals and first Pre
miums by the Pennsylvania and lowa State Fairs, und by
hundreds of County Faire in all parts of the country:—
This Machine took the Seat Premium at the Adams Coun
ty Agricultural Fair held at Benderaville, September
1868. Also,
Ball's Ohio & Russell's Screw Tower
Both first-class Machines, having sold a number of these
klaOhines in the last three years. They have given gen
eral satisfaction wherever used. We ask farmers before
buying a machine to call and examine these machine!,
before purchasing elsewhere. as they will be Ole to
make a better selectione. We could produce quite a
number otoertitlcates from some of on beet Farmers in
the County, but deem it unnecessary as we warrant
these machines to give satisfaction with a fair trial, or
no sale. Insured for one season.
Extraa always kept on hand. We hers made frran ge
mente to hare repairing don's) when needed at any time
and on moderate terms.
With the above we have fur sale a number of rat -.able
farming Implements.

TVs Machine has two driving wheels, hinge-Joint and

idered by thews persons who have need them to he equal
in difficult gram to any light nischinematle for mowing
only, WOI cub any kind of grass standing or lodged wet
or dry can start anywhere without hacking, for the truth
of this amiertion we will refer to those who bought of no
last year. It cats 4 feet 8 inches in gram, and 5 feet 6
inches In grain, Is a rear-cut, side-delivery, can finish a
field without bindmg'a sheaf, and does the most lathe.
factory work in lodged grain, to beked by two
horses in grain or grass. We claim this W law U
raker to be
the best in existence. We will give our reasons.
Ist. This 9.1 f raker has four rakes (no blanks or fans)
which all fall into the lodged grain as low a• the knife
and several fact' In front of it and rice gradually after
the grain is on platform. and continue to revolve until
you have &sheaf then the driver mires It small lever and
either rake will sweep the platform. by this, vim will see
that you can always have a full sheaf; thereby saving
binding, gathering and dividing sheaf. '

2nd. Ityon wish to put the driter on the horses, or
the . rin is one thickness that it4lll permit to makes
ah each revolution, without aid of the driver. Yon
can oso by simple drawing one bolt, and still keep all
the rakes on to drop Into the lodged grain and bring it
up before the knife reaches it. Hez e is one point we
wish to call your attention too. Take notice w4iere all
these rekies strike into the grain and then compare them
with blabke on other Selfltakers.
3rd. If you wish your pats on a swath, tie your lever
fast, and it will do its were perfectly and yon will be
safe for wet weather. 1
4th. It is a Well known fact that in lland-raking fleapit
ere that the reel must be changed for different kinds o
grain, and also necesaary for Self-rake to make perfect
- work In extreme tall or abort grain, this rake track
works in a ptvit. and byo,,h,rioging two bolts, We have
this most desirable and indispensible improvement over
all others. With a combination of these four desirable
points, it has been unanimously acknowledged by all dis
interested and practical machinists to be decidedly
simpleand durable in Its construction.
At thetgritat National Field Trial, held at Auburn,
New York, last July, which Is conceded to have been the
largest and severest trial ever held in the United States.
lasting several weeks, under the entire management of
the New York Slate Agricultural Society, this machine
was awarded the Gold Medal for the best Combined Self
rating Reaper and 3lower,(Clase No. 4.) Since the great
trial, different toachines are claiming Medals, and , mast
persons are In 11l fog about it. Over fifty machines were
entered In the different classes for the different medals.

crop, and cut a large quantity of Gnus, and will say for
the Hubbard that it will not choke in any kind of Grass,
wet or dry, standing dr lodged, at the slowest gait your
horses will walk, Is free from Ode draught, ne weight
on horses' necks, end is light work for two horses. The
Self Rake is w Rhone a doubt the lbt sti3elf Raker out. It
has four Bakes, (no blanks,) and can bring up lodged
Grain that no Hand Raker can do, and can regulate the

THE GREAT CHOLERA
PREVENTATIVE
1.
L 1866. L
TUE GREAT
Zingari Bitters.
frtm, WONwERFUL REMEDY was discovered an
11 troduced about twenty years ago by Dr. 6. Clieup
sus. an eminent Egyptian physician.
Ile had long seen and felt the want of come remedy
which would stelae at the root of disease, and so pre
vent Much of the suffering which the human family was
then compelled to endure.
This great question was presented to his mind every
day in vividcolors as he moved among thesick anddylaik,
and observed the inefficiency of tearly all the remedies
then in use. Thus he was led to think and experiment;
and after ten yetirs"study and labor, be presented to his
fellow-man the wonderful Zingari Bitter*. The effect of
this preparatieW in the prevention and cure of disease,
was so uttrvellotir and astonishing, that the most flatter
log marks of royakfavor Were bestowed upon him who
discovered it. Ills name was placed upon the Roll of
Nobles, and a goldinimial with the following inscription
—Dr: B.oheopints,' the Public illnefactor—was presented
to him by the Viceroy.
The preparation bas been used in several epidemics of
cholera, both as a preventive and curative measure, and
with such great success, that it has been introduced into
nearly all the general hospitals of the old world.
The obi saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a
pound of cure, applies with mariellous force to cholera,
and therefore any remedy that Mill protect us against
this terfible disease ehould be freely and persistently
sued.
All pathologiate now agree that thecholeta poison acts
on the system through the blood, and that any combina
tion which acts On Lilo-excretory organs, and keeps them
in working order, must prevent *sufficient accuninietion
of the poison torten itriterrible effects on the organism.
This is true not , only of cholera, but of nearly all other
maladiecespeclally the different forms of fever.
The Zinged Bitter' la just such a remedy ae the above
conditions regnire, It acts on the organsof excretion
and secretion, keeping up a perfect balance between
them. This Bitters is composed entirely of roots and
herbs, so nicelyconnoctedthat every organ is acted upon
aria put intone. its taste is pleasant and its effects
prompt andlostlng:
Numerous cases nf the following disessm, have hneu
cared by it: Cholera, Diarrhcra, Dysentery. dcrufula,
Typhoid and Typhus Fever, Fever. Ague, Nervous De
bility, Anaemia, Female I rregularities,Dyspepaia,Flatu

LATINO A BUSINpa EDUCATION,
TO know that this Institution em

that when these facts are properly understood by those

Otrevsetrao, Pa., Jan.B, 1808.
Having used DOTY'S cvronEr WASHER, and thor
oughly tested it, we have no esitstiemin endorsing it as
the but Washing Machine yet produced. It ie simple in
construction—biessily worked, and does its work well,
without injury to clothing. An ordinary washing, re
quiringennally 8 to 10 hours labor at the Wash-tub, caa
readily be done with the aid of Doty's Washer and the
Uninerrai clothes' Wringer, in one•third the time—
economising time, labor, soap, fuel, 2o.,—avoiding the
necessity of Wash-tubs, and enabling the person working
to go through with a washing without wetting them—
selves a the floor. It really merits all the good that eau
be said of It. We do not think that any family, atm Wit
tcsting it, would dispense with it.
