There's | nothing frilly or fancy about them -—but they do hit the spot. The next time you ask the gang in after the movies, or want a Quick Sunday night snack after a ride in the country, or Sally : after the game-—try broiled ham- burgers in your electric roaster. I assure you they'll be met with cheers. Hamburgers # Ground beef (according to the number to be served) Salt Pepper Chopped onion Season the freshly ground beef to taste with salt, pepper, and finely chopped onion-—a dash of curry powder is good, too. To make the cakes, place the meat on a piece of heavy waxed paper, flatten slightly and cover with another sheet of waxed paper. Roll with a rolling pin until the meat is the desired thickness (4 to % inch). , Then lift off the top paper, and with a large sharp-edged cooky-cutter, cut rounds of the meat. Attach the broiler of the | | heated sufficiently, place the meat cakes on the rack and broil ta t desired degree of , letti theém brown on Bre side and theh turning them. If you prefer, the hamburgers can be pan broiled in the insert pan of the roaster. Heat the roast- er to 450 degrees F. grease the place the cakes in it. Brown and cook as desired. Have ready a supply of round buttered buns, lettuce, sliced to- matoes, pickle relish, mustard and mayonnaise—invite the guests out to the kitchen and let each one put his own sandwich together. Or rather “sandwiches” for no one will stop with one of these tasty hamburgers. Have a selection of hot and cold beverages with cookies or doughnuts for dessert. One grand thing about the roast- er is that it can be attached at any convenience outlet so you can move it in to the dining room table or to the recreation room for your informal party. Broiling is easy this way and not at all messy-you needn't worry about spattering grease. And your guests will get a kick out of this kind of cooking if you let them help +) Rien EXECUTOR'S NOTICE { NANCY tre Hall Boro Pa. deceased [#tters teMamentary on above estate | rar | having been duly granted the undersigned | all persons knowing themselves ludedbled |... to the estate are requested to make ims | . {mediate payment, and those baving claims 1gainet the same to present them duly ae | thenticated for HARNESS LEPAIRING a ———: ! 4 BES REPATHINAS al | opened » 10 do all kinds of har D.
