tort,
Do not wait a day longer to put into
condition the pipe lineg carrying water
from the town's maing to and through
your dwdlling. The expense of make
ing any needed repairs now wil be
but a fraction of that if the work ie
delayed until the ground freeses. And
burst water pieps will try the patience
of any man who sees water flowing
from them at other points than at the
epigots,

a scant supply of hay was cut, sifalfa
plots—all had a sickly outlook but now
look as though we have never had a
drought. While the shoots of the va*
rious grasss to spring up since rains
came are short, there is eviry indica.
tion that the plahts will be able to with«
stand the coming winter and yield a
bountiful crop nekt year. Wheat
w
fields are also looking their best
