from York county. and was born near
Boalsburg on January 26th, 1840, hence
had reached the age of 82 years, 3
months and 9 days. The greater part
of his life was spent near State Col-
Jege, where he engaged In farming une
til his retirement some years ago
As a young man he married Miss
Ann Stover, who died on Ovtob-
er 15, 1865, but surving him are five
children, Mrs, Bottorf, of Bellefonte;
Miss Sue Garner, a trained nurse in
Philadelphia; John Garter, of Denni-
son, Ohio; Isaac, of Pittsburgh, and
Harry, of Fort Washington. Md.
