Mr, Stover was a son of the late
William and Mary (Runkle) Stover,
and was bom June 6, 1865, at Centre
Hall, He went to jerryaburg as a
Western Union telegraph operator,
Some time later he wns clerk for the
late Joseph F. Romberger in his gen
eral store,
He was married to Miss Grace Rom-
berger, daughter of the store owner.
After Mr. Romberger's death he took
charge of the store and also became
postmaster, He was postmaster of
that community for thirty years, and
held that office at the time of his
death.
His death was unexpected, as he had
followed his regular routine the day
previous and had attended to the store
and postal duties up until Saturday
evening,
He fs survived by his wife, one
son, Joseph W. Stover, garage owner,
and one granddaughter, all of Bere
rysburg. Mr, Stover wns a member of
the Lutheran church at Berrysburg.
Funeral services were held at 2.00
o'clock Thursday afternoon, Novem-
ber 6th, at his residence; Interment
