A party, Joseph Yoncoskle, of

the jail, and of course, did
not gain his freedom
Their freedom was of short duration,
however, as the bors were captured at
the home of the Fredericks boy's
mother, three miles northwest of Mif-
flinburg. Willlam Diehl, of Miffiinburg,
special deputy, corralled the
prisoners single handed In a fleld at
that about 2 o'clowk Thursday
morning. They ware dacovered by
Mr. Diehl about 12 o'clock mid-night In
a fleld north of the farm buldings
where the Fredericks boy makes his
home, but Mr. Diehl was unable to get
close to them until he started sleuth-
ing in regular Sherlock Holmes style.
Their snse of direction was very
poor and Mr. Diehl took advantage of
ft. He discovered that they were walk-
ing ahead of him and keeping just far
enough away to avoid capture, so he
used the backward step and when he
started walking In the fashion the
pursued became the pursuer and Mr,
Heh! led them In this way within close
proximity of the place that had been
searched eonrlier In the night. Then
he took them by surprise at the point
of gun and neither boy ventured re-
sistance,
