Judging from the mi of resi

certain periods of
the kill of certain game and the hunt-
ing accidents, For instance, in 1815,
2¢ icenses were issued, 1.287 male
deer and 158 bear killed, and 29
fatal and 119 non-fatal bunting
dents occurred. In 1 473,735 loons
were fasued 6.115 male deer and
5683 black bears were Killed, and 37

fons licenses sold in
1824. 7.778 buck dear and 929 bears
were killed-more bears incidentally
than were taken in all the rest of the
states combined.
In 1927, 501.635 licenses were issued,
14.374 buck deer or the record thus
far, and #21 black bears were taken,
with 63 fatal and 27% non-fatal aoci-
dents occurring.
Last year (1928) only 437,727 resident
Hoenses were lssued Dut in addition 78.-
876 special deer licenses were sold,
During this season 25087 antlerless
deer were taken, and 427 bears, and 46
fatal and 238 non-fatal accidents og
curred, .
This year will be a record for the
kill of bucks beyond any doubt. From
18,000 to 25.000 should be killed if the
weather continues good. Snow flur.
ries will make visibility poor and
chances of accidents greater, No gen-
eral reports of accidents during the
door season have been received as yet,
although a number of hunters have
already been killed and wounded. Com-
plete accident reports on the small
