July 14, 1886.
Red cherries were sold here last week
for two cents a quart.
A cow was killed near Linden Hall
one day last by the afternoon train, *
Andy Musser, of Aaronsburg, who
went to Kansas in the spring, is home
again,
Musser’'s foundry at Millheim will
soon be put in of¥ration with Messrs. F.
Knarr and D. Luse, proprietors.
Miss Flora Love, of this place, has
gone to Sydney, Ohio, which place she
will make her home for some time,
Posters are up announcing that pro
pesals will be received for the erection
of a new" creamery building at Spring
Mills.
On Tuesday, July 6, the shingle mill
on Whitmer’s siding, near Spring Mills,
owned and operated by Krumbine &
Co., was destroyed by fire, The mill
was a new one and in operation but a
short time,
Mrs. Benton Ulrich, a daughter of
Maj J. B. Fisher, of Penn Hail, died at
the home of her parents on Wednesday
evening, joth ult,
J. A. Reesman yesterday started on a
trip west with a view to look up a lo-
cation and moving out with his family
if he finds the outlook more encourag-
ing than at Centre Hall,
