A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs,
Robert Colyer, North street, on Wed}
nesday of last week,
Apples are a drug on the market, and
consequently many farmers of this sec-
tion will not pick more of the fruit than
they want for their own use. Several
carloads have been shipped from the Co-
burn station, ®
S. W. Vonada, tenant on the J. J.
Fiedler farm, near Woodward, last Fri-
day’ bought the Henry Lingle home,
southeast of Spring Mills, Thirty acres
of farm and pasture land go with the
home,
Robert F. Hunter, of Bellefonte, ac-
companied by a Mr. Wheelwright, en-
route from Millheim to Bellefonte on
Thursday night had a miraculous escape
from injury and death. The bridge at
the foot of the hill at Condotown, on the
state highway, was torn out during the
day. A detour through the stream was
necessary and it is claimed lights had
been placed at both approaches to the
bridge, but when Mr. Hunter
along with his car the one light was not
there and his car went into the stream
direct in the roadway. The car drop-
ped over five feet and was only slightly
damaged and the occupants luckily es-
