‘The Million Dollar Doll ©,

Tuesday March 4th, has proved
which
one of
greatest successes of the season’s musi-
cal offerings. The b
music were written by
New York City,

Rock & Fulton, Lulu Glazer, Marion
Bent and many others. The entire
work is original and far above the gener-
al run of musical Mr, Wes.
lyn considers this his best work. The
production was stagged by Mr. Harvey
D, Orr, who is well known to the thea-
tre going public. He has given this at-
traction one of the elaborate pro
duction ever sent on tour. The
tumes, stage settings and light effects
are beautiful and enchanting. The
company is ote of the largest and best
on the road this season and is well
worthy the large patronage accorded it
since the opening date, Owing to the
length of the performance curtain will

Matrimonial Market.
The Hitabadi and Basumati, native
Indian papers, publish between them
some curious instances bearing on
the state of affairs that prevails in
the matrimonial market of the pres
ent day. Here is one of them: An
elderly gentleman of Cooch Behar, a
widower of slender means having a
marriageable daughter to dispose of,
was on the lookout for a sutable bride
groow. But the prohibitive rates rul
ing in the market was aginst him,
and ke at last hoped that with the
dowry he would obtain from the mar
riage of his only son he would marry
away his daughter. But as ill luck
would have it, the boy died, and the
gentleman, finding no other way open,
was forced to enter into wedlock hime
self for a second time In order that
he might marry the girl to his new
brother-in-law!
