Sell Potatoes by Weight.
Potatoes must now be sold by weight
State Food Administrator Heinz has
notified all of the county administrators
to this effect and hereafter dealers can
not sell potatoes by the peck or bushel.
One reason has been that dealers have

Will Open Woman's Nursing Course.
A pre-nursing courde for women will
be established at the Pennsylvania State
College on January 1. Intensive stidy
will be conducted for twelve weeks in
the scientific subjects that are a part of
the regular training in hospitals.
Despite the cessation of hostilities,
there is a growing need for trained nur-
ses in the army hospitals, according to
M. M. Ireland, surgeon general of the
army. He has asked the State College
to instruct a large group of highly pre-
pared students for military and civil
hospitals, thereby enabling a rapid re-
leasement of the graduate nurses whose
services have been so greatly needed
overseas,
The course will include the study of hy-
giene, physiology, anatomy, chemistry,
bacteriology, invalid cookery, element.
