DEATHY, {
result of a
George Miller, a‘ highly
oitizen of Rebersburg, passed away on
Friday at hishome. He was formerly
a merchant in his home town but re-
tired from active business about ten
ears ago. Funeral services were held
uesday morniug and were in charge
of Rev, J. L., Metzgar. Interment fol-
lowed in the Union cemetery in
Rebersburg.
Deceasea was born July 19, 1852,
hence was past sixty-four years of age.
In December, 1875, he married Meta
Wolfe, of Asronsburg, who survives
with two chiidren : Charles and Mrs,
Loyd Walker, both of Pitcairn, A
number of brothers and sisters also
survive, as follows : Charlee, of Will-
fame, Iowa ; Rober!, of Freeport, Ill;
James, of Lens, Ill.; John, of Roek
Bpringe, Pa.; Mre. James Crawford, of
Freeport, Iil.; Mre, Busan Wolfe, of
Woodward ; Mre, Tammie Keller, of
Linden Hall, and Mre. Ida Williams,
of Pine Grove Mille.
Mrs. Isasc Long died at the home of
her sister, Mre, Howard Bmith, in Nit-
tany Valley, on Friday evening, after
a week’s illness with ersvsipelas, aged
over seventy-three vears, She made
her home with her daughter, Mre,
William Rachsu, at Madisonburg, but
had been witb her sister for the past
eight weeks. Funeral services were
held Wednesday morning and burial
made in the Union cemetery at Farm-
ers Milie, Rev, Caris officiating, Her
husband died a pumber of years ago,
but nine children survive : Mre, Will-
iam Rachau. Mre, M. Gentzel, George
Long, Harvey Loog, Ssmuoel Loopg,
Mrs. C. A. Weaver, all of Broshvalley;
John Long, of Blue Ball; Frank
Lobg, of Wolfs Store; Mrs. SBamuel
Beck, of Bpring Mille. Also one sister
and two brothers: Mre. Howard
Bmith, of Nittany ; John Lorvg, of
Penn Hsll; snd rsmuel Long, of
Bpring Mille.
Mabel Horner, youngest of the
family of six children of Mr, and
Harvey Horner, who occupy the
G. Runkle farm, sbove Biate College,
died last Wednesday of
Burial was meade in tHe cemetery con-
nected with the church of the Evan-
relical Associatior, at Tusseyville, Fri-
day afternoon.

CUlvil War Veteran Dies at Lewistown,
William Henry Toner, aged seventy-
three, died in Lewistown on Saturday
from heart failure, He was a veterar
of the civil war, serving in Company
M, Forth-ninth Penuvsylvania volun
teer infantry, and Company G, 210th
Pennsylvania volunteer infantry,
Mr, Toner wae raised in the Sproce-
town district, and was married to a
Centre Hall, Mrs, John
related to the decessed, A number of
the Bradforde attended
Tuesday.

town, was the scene of a birthday
party, on Friday night, given in honor
of Mrs. Breov. A number of friends
were present and enjoyed a delighiful
evening.
