STATE AGRICULTURAL NOTES,

average production, although a con-
siderable portion wae damaged in the

Throughout the State the hay yield
has been unprecedented and two mil
lion more tons was produced over last
year,
In the northern ter counties con-
siderable grain remained in the shocks
in the field on the first of August, ,
EClearfield county apples are said to
have considerable scab and many hold
hail storm marke,
Adams county reports an apple yield
of practically ninety per cent, of an
AVerage crop.
The excessive drought during the
first few weeks of August has caused
damage to the potato crop which ia
not expected to reach an aversge yield,
Tobacco is back snd Irregular in
growth and the worms are reported
very bad in Lancaster county.
In sections of Mouigomery county
wheat has averaged about twenty-two
pushels to an acre lu the threshing.

grandchildren took a trip across the
Heven Mountains on Friday in an auto
which was driven by Cyril Zechman.
On Sunday Dr. Grant Keller, wife
and children, Mre, O. L., Mothers-
baugh, Mies Mary Marklesnd Mr, and
Mre, Williaa Mothersbaugh snd son
autoed to Willismosport where they
spent the day with Keller Mothers
baugh and family.

Vehicles, Motor-Cycles, Traction Engines, Motor-
Busses, as defined by the Act of Assembly July
7th, 1913, Bicycles and other vehicles, on the
Strects and Highways of the Borough of Centre
Hall, providing regulations of traffic and penal-
ties for the violation thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED and enacted by the Town
Counell of the Borough of Centre Hall, and it is
hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the
same in Town Council assembled :
gporion 1. All vehicles «hall keep to the right
of the centre of the street in the direction in
which they are traveling.
Sxorion 2. Any vehicle, including a motor
vehicle or motor eycle, OVERTAKING snother
going in the same direcdon, shall pass to the left
and not pull over to the right until so far ahead
as not to interfere with the progress of the vehicle
passed, and such attempt to pass shall not be
made or permitted unless the way be clear; and
soy such vehicle MEETING another vehicle bead-
ing in the opposite direction shall pass to the
right as provided in Section 1.
Broriox 3. When a motor-vehicle or other
vebicle meets or overtakes a street passenger car
or motor bus which has stopped for the taking on
or discharging of passengers, the sald motor
vehicle or other vehicle shall not pass the car or
bus on the side on which the passengers get on or
off, until the car or bua has started, and any pes,
eugers alighting shall have gotten safely to the
sidewalk of the street or roadway, or any pass
enger that may be about to board the car or bus
shall have done so,
gxorion 4. All vehicles turning into enother
street to the right shall turn the corner as near
the right hand curb as practicable.

of the street to the other, on streets where there
is two way trafic, shall head in the same direc

more than $25.00 and costs at the discretion of
such officer before whom conviction is had, to be
coliectod as lke floes and penalties are now by
law collected ; or in case of non-payment or re
fusal of payment of sald fine within forty-eight
co sta being fin! entered, to undergo an imprison
ment for a period not exceeding ten days: and
upon conviction of a second offense within &
period of one year, such person will be synlenced
to pay & fine of not les than $10.00 nor mare than
