A daughter was born to Mr. and
Mrs. W. H. Bnyder, near Centre Hall,
about a week age.

J. C. Lee, Jr, of Spring Mille, d¢-

Messre. William and George BSwarlz
of Tusseyville are receiving private in-
struction from Prof. Willlam Heck-
mar, Centre Hall's new principal, and
make the trip twice a week.
Mr. and Mre. Calvin Osman and
daughter Ruth, of (Glen Iron, autoed
to the home of Mre. Osman’s brother,
Janes Runkle, at Tusseyville, on Bup-
day, where they spent the day.
B. D. Brisbip, representing the local
I. 0. O. F., and Mre, J, H. Knarr, rep-
resenting the Rebekah Lodge, attend-
ed the annual representatives’ meet-
ing at the Orphans’ home at Bunbury,
on Tuesday.

Vonada heirs, advertises at public sale
on the last day of this month, the
George Vonada farm in Brush Valley.
The farm contains 224 acres, and has
on it some fine timber.
Mr, and Mre. John Cronin of Johns-
town ; Mre. Clarence Heim and three
children of Harrisburg; Mre. Domer
Emerick and duughter Beatrice of Al-
toons, were guests at the home of Mr.
and Mre. W. F. Colyer, on the Colyer
farm, east of Centre Hall.
Mr. and Mre. William Breon and
family of eight ehildrer, of Pittst urgh,
arrived at the home of the former's
sister and brother-ir-'aw, Mr, and Mrs.
J. Cloyd Brooks, near Centre Hall,
last week. Mr. Breon returned in a
few days but the remainder of the fan -
ily will remain for a week or more,
The room above the post office, in
the Reporter building, for the past two
years occupied by the local W. C. 7T
U., is being converted into a0 ex-
changs for the Hell Telephone Co n-
pray. The plumbing and carpenter
work will be completed in a short
time, The W.C.T. U. headquarters
is bring moved into the Kreamer store
building, into the room vacated by the
Bell Telephone Company.
Mery, Henry Stoner of State College

That lightning does strike twice In
the same place was proven last week.
Two years ago lightning struck and
demolisl ed the steeple of the Evanp-
gelical church on the hill, A new
church, lower and more modern, was
erected, and last week this was struck,
tearing off a bosrd and hurling it
across the street and into the second
story window of the house owned by
B. F. Kennelly and occupied by Mre.
Grant Braucher and family, breaking
the window panes. The same day
lightning struck the yard fence of (,
