Woode, departed on Thursday for her home at Anderson, Indians, Oo the way she will visit at her former home at New London, Ohle. Matthew Goheen and family and Mr. and Mre., William Goheen spent Thursday at the John Goheen home at Rock Bpriog. Mre. A. W. Dale spent several days at Centre Hall. Mre. Mary Wright of Pine Grove Mills spent two weeks at the home of her son at Boalsburg. Misses Florence and Mary Hszel visited for a week with friends at He- bersburg. The civie club will meet at the home of Mre. H. H. Harroon Friday even- ing, July 20d, at 7:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mre. John Charlee, Mr. and Mre. Grant Charles and son KEagene, Mr. and Mre. C. W. Corl and Mrr. Ed- ward Beilers made au suto trip to Mifflin county on SBunday where they visited with relatives at Maitland. Mr. and Mre, J. H. Meyer, George E. Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. William Mothersbaugh and gor, John Heuory, spent Saturday evening and Sunday ju Altoons, where they visited the W. E. Gettig family and other relatives. Sunday they attended serviee in the Salem Reformed Mission chureh which Rev. FP. M. Btshl is pastor, N. W. Meyer and family, Norman Slagle and J. Curtis Meyer and family spent Sunday at Asronsburg. Mre. SBamuel Darst of Erlystown spent part of this week in our towr. Mrr. Eliza Smith of Centre Hill was a Sunday visitor at Boalsburg. The Knights of Malta attended the service in the Reformed church on Sunday iu a body. CC. W. Corl aud Giopgerich made a business trip ta Waynesbore, the early pari of the week. Mrr. Stover and daughters, Mre. May Charles and Mrs, Sars Shuey, attended the funeral of Mrs. Btover’s sister, Mrs. David Barlett at Bellefonte on Tuesday afternoor. F. W. Weber and H. M. Hosterman made a business trip to Hublersbarg Inst week. Mre. Margaret Rote of Centre Hall visited with relatives in this place from Monday till Wednesday. S—————— DEATHS of John Mer. Frank A. Yearick, who wes injared in jnmping from =n sotomo- bile over which the drives had lost control in goicg down the mountiaiv near Madisonburg, Monday afternoon of last weeb, died che following Thure- day at her home in Madisonbury, never having regained consciousness Funeral services were held in the United Evangelical church Monday morning snd interment made in the Yearick cemetery, two miles weat of Madisonburg, Evangelist Paul Brown and Rev. Kessler, officiating. Mre. Yearick vefors marriage wae Nancy Ellen Beck and was borin at the east end of Brush Valley, on July 19th, 1857, hence was aged fifty-seven yeare, eleven months and five days. Bhe was twice married, first to Oliver J. Eckel, in 1876 ; to this union three children were borp, two of whom sui- vive, namely, Messrs, William Year- ick, of Mill Hal), and John P., of Plessant Gap. Mr. Eskel died on April 3, 1885. Three years later she was united in marriage to Frank A. Yearick. To this union also three children were borr, two of whom sur- vive, namely, Mre. Windfield Bartges and Miss Tessie Grace, at home. Mrs, Yearick was a member of the United Evangelical church and an sctive worker in her Lord's vineyard. She was a kind mother and neighbor and leaves behind a large host of sorrow- ing friends. William F. Emerick of Hublersburg, who farmed for Joseph Furst in the east end of Nittany Valley for twenty years, died Sunday morning from a complication of diseases, He was born September 4tb, 1846 and ther fore was nearly 69 years old. He is survived by four daughters, Mire. Rebecca Bpayde, of Hublersburg ; Mrs. Lola Walker, of Lock Haven ; Mre. George Bruogsrd, and Mr. Christie Barner, of Balons, and by two sone, Claude aud Ray, of Elinwood, Illinole. Funeral services were held at his home on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and burial made in Cedar Hill cemetery. ‘Mre. B.
